Club History

Railway Union Football Club is a South Dublin football club based in Sandymount and is part of the Railway Union Sports Club. The club was founded in 1904 and was one of the founding members of the Railway and Steampacket Union.

The Railway Union Sports Club is a multi-sports venue with the following facilities:

  • Two football pitches

  • A full size 6-rink bowling green

  • A top class floodlit Astro Hockey pitch

  • 3 grass and 7 all-weather tennis courts with 5 flood-lit

  • A cricket ground

  • A full size rugby pitch

Railway Union Sports Club also has a fully licensed bar and newly refurbished function room to cater for members and visitors social events throughout the year.
